Are you a
talented investor?
Invest in Savio and take the value of your talent to the next level.
What’s the Big Idea?
Savio.pro is an early-stage online marketplace platform matching freelance and independent research vendors with buyers of their services.
To date, Savio has been bootstrapped by its CEO and founding investors. Savio is now looking to launch a seed funding round to enable it to invest in growth, specifically the next phase of its product roadmap, more sales and more marketing. Savio has received interest and confirmed investment from a small community of angel investors.
Savio’s Board is passionate about helping talent succeed. Independent experts often face an uncertain financial future and often don’t have access to financial products and services or appropriate investment opportunities.
We want to open-up the opportunity to invest in Savio to established freelancers working in the sector; those who recognise Savio’s vision, who want to be a part of it and who can help make it happen.
The seed round contains experienced early-stage investors who have secured very high projected rates of return. These will be available offered to all investors. The key difference for independent talent is they get to shape, grow and manage the business thus actively reducing some of the key risks priced-in for others.
This makes Savio a potentially super valuable investment for freelancers.
The shared opportunity
The belief is that talented, established freelancers are the best kind of early-stage investors for Savio because Savio is potentially the best kind of long-term investment for talented, established freelancers.
This belief is based on 3 key ideas:
The long-term value of Savio is tied to its ability to achieve a healthy valuation at future investment rounds. This is largely driven by the rapid, and well-matched growth of Savio’s supply and demand over the next few years. Established freelancers are well placed to kick-start this growth through their existing talent networks and client workflow
Talented established freelancers are capable micro-business whose collective understanding of how to plan, build and manage Savio exceeds that of the small team running Savio today. Talented investors are ideal strategic managers of Savio who can avoid all sorts of wastage and failure
Talented freelancers have liquid resources but lack long term financial security. Savio has devised a scheme to make it as easy as possible for the right people to invest and divest in a unique “win win” mechanism
What is Savio’s Talented Investors’ Scheme?
The scheme is designed to enable established freelancers to invest in Savio and reap the rewards of helping to make the business a success. In summary the investment works as follows:
Investors decide how much they want to invest, based on potential rates of return and timeframes discussed with Savio
Investors make a capital investment of between £20k and £40k upfront
Investors make a second investment of an equal value 3 or 6 months later
The cash value of the second payment is calculated as the value of client business brought to Savio through the freelancer in the form of retained platform billings. Retention can flex between 50% - 100% of total billings to enable an sustainable income
Once the matched target is achieved, money held on account is converted to a capital investment
If the second goal is not met, any retained earnings can be returned to investors or by agreement converted into equity
Money can be taken out at key moments in the future or held long-term until exit
Key points to note:
Capital is always at risk, and the usual investment disclaimers will apply and feature in the underlying shareholder agreement of the Talented Investors’ Scheme. Anyone considering this scheme should seek independent financial advice before making any decisions or commitments
The value of shares purchased upfront is pegged at the value achieved with existing high return investors in the Seed round
The price of shares purchased in the second round increases. This difference is to reflect the time value of money
The business is EIS registered, which has significant tax benefits for UK taxpayers. Learn more about EIS here
A target for TIS investment has been set with a maximum of 10 investors able to participate in the round
More detail on the investment will be available to interested and qualified applicants
